Bake a Perfect Cake

  1. When you fill and frost a cake place first layer with bottom side up and the last layer with top side up, it will give your cake a steady shape and it will not collapse.
  2. For best results in baking cake, let the eggs, butter and milk reach the room temperature before mixing. This will give your cake the right texture and flavour.
  3. To prevent the nuts and fruits from sinking to the bottom of a cake during baking, warm them a bit in the oven and toss them with flour. Shake off the excess flour before mixing them into the batter.
  4. When frosting cakes, always anchor the bottom cake layer to the serving plate with a dab of frosting. This will prevent the cake from sliding when you frost it. This also helps keep a cake from sliding on its plate during transfer. The frosting will hold the cake in place and your cake will come out in perfect shape.
